🇰🇭 Cambodia — Temples & Tee Times
Golf meets ancient wonder. Angkor Golf Resort sits within sight of the world's largest religious monument, and playing 18 holes here — with Angkor Wat's temple spires visible from the 14th fairway — is a genuinely singular experience. Phnom Penh's premier course, built alongside the Vattanac Capital Tower. Lakes, bunkers, and multiple signature island green holes. Wide fairways make this approachable for mid and high handicappers while still testing the better player. Excellent practice facilities.
Cambodia Country Club
Three nine-hole loops you can combine to create three different 18-hole experiences. The oldest golf facility in Cambodia, now fully renovated, with some of the most forgiving and enjoyable golf in the country. Ideal as a warm-up round before the more demanding Angkor course.

7am tee time at Vattanac Golf Resort. Afternoon: Royal Palace, National Museum, river cruise at sunset. Evening: dinner on Street 278.

🇱🇰 Sri Lanka — The Hill Country Round
The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club was built in 1889 by a Scottish soldier at 1,868 metres above sea level in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea plantation country. You play golf with a sweater on in the tropics. The colonial-era clubhouse has barely changed since the British left. Victoria Golf & Country Resort near Kandy sits in a canyon with views that pause play. Sri Lanka is not marketed as a golf destination — which is exactly why experienced golf travellers should go there now, before it is.

Founded in 1889 — one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia. Set at 1,868 metres in tea plantation country. Parkland layout with tree-lined fairways, water hazards, and deceptive greens. The 14th is the signature: an elevated tee shot, tree corridor, and a green protected by bunkers. The colonial clubhouse serves afternoon tea. This is history you play on.
Victoria Golf & Country Resort
Situated in a dramatic river canyon on the banks of the Mahaweli River near Kandy, Victoria GCC is regularly cited as one of the most scenic courses in Asia. Elevation changes, mountain backdrops, and a layout that demands course management over pure power. The resort hotel sits directly on the course.
Royal Colombo Golf Club
Sri Lanka's oldest golf club — founded three years before the Colombo Turf Club. Colonial heritage, a flat parkland layout threaded through suburban Colombo, and an atmosphere that feels like stepping back to 1920. Guest access through Scratch Circle; not available to walk-in visitors.

🇹🇭 Thailand — Golf at its Most Enjoyable
Hua Hin is where Bangkok's affluent escape to play golf, and for very good reason. Black Mountain Golf Club consistently ranks in Asia's top 10 courses. Banyan's greens are among the finest in the region. The beach is there for the evenings, the food is world-class, and the green fees are a fraction of a Dubai round. Thailand has figured out the formula for the perfect golf holiday — every other detail works around the golf, not against it.

Black Mountain Golf Club
Consistently ranked the best course in Thailand and one of the best in Asia. Dramatic elevation changes, water hazards on 13 holes, and presentation that rivals courses charging four times the green fee. The mountain views from the back nine are spectacular. This is the anchor course of any Hua Hin trip.
Banyan Golf Club
Some of the finest and fastest greens in Southeast Asia. Designed specifically to reward placement over power, with strategic bunkering and water hazards that punish wayward approaches. The 7th and 17th are among the best par-3s in the region. Often described as the most technically satisfying course in Hua Hin.
Hua Hin Country Club
Thailand's first golf course, now hosting 27 holes in three nine-hole loops. More relaxed than Black Mountain but genuinely enjoyable, with open fairways, lakes, and the beach breeze coming through from the Gulf of Thailand. Perfect third-day course when you want to enjoy rather than grind.

Da Nang has quietly become the most exciting golf destination in Asia. Three of the continent's finest courses — designed by Greg Norman, Colin Montgomerie, and Nick Faldo — sit within a 30-minute drive of each other. A fourth, Hoiana Shores by Robert Trent Jones II, overlooks the South China Sea near Hoi An. The UNESCO World Heritage city of Hoi An is 20 minutes from your tee time. Get here before the rest of the world does — the green fees are still honest and the courses aren't yet crowded.

Designed by Greg Norman along the beachfront of Da Nang with ocean views on multiple holes. Tight links-style layout with natural sand dunes, coastal winds, and a back nine that runs directly alongside the South China Sea. One of the most visually dramatic courses in Southeast Asia. The 5th and 13th are exceptional par-3s.
Montgomerie Links
Designed by eight-time European Tour winner Colin Montgomerie with a Scottish links philosophy in a Vietnamese setting. Open fairways, pot bunkers, undulating greens, and the prevailing wind off the sea. Consistently rated one of Vietnam's top three courses. The juxtaposition of links feel in tropical Vietnam is genuinely fascinating.
Hoiana Shores Golf Club
The newest and arguably most spectacular course in Vietnam, opened 2020 on the coastline near Hoi An. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II with 14 holes directly beside the South China Sea. Large, subtle greens, dune crossings, and the Ancient Town of Hoi An visible in the distance. The back nine views are extraordinary.

🇦🇪 Dubai — World-Class Golf, World-Class Everything
Emirates Golf Club opened in 1988 as the first grass course in the Middle East, hosted the European Tour's Desert Classic for three decades, and remains one of the most iconic parkland layouts anywhere in the world. Jumeirah Golf Estates closes the DP World Tour Championship every November on the Earth Course. There is no better city in which to combine premium golf with five-star hospitality, tax-free shopping, and direct flights from Delhi. The winter weather is perfect — 22°C in January.

Emirates Golf Club — Majlis Course
The first grass course in the Middle East and one of the most iconic in the world. The Majlis Course (Arabic for "meeting place") hosted the Dubai Desert Classic for over 30 years. Dubai's skyscraper skyline is visible from multiple tees. The finishing holes along the creek are spectacular. This is the one course in Dubai that belongs on every golfer's bucket list.
Jumeirah Golf Estates — Earth Course
Home of the DP World Tour Championship — the season-ending event of the European Tour — since 2009. Greg Norman's design through a residential estate with lakes, indigenous vegetation, and a course set-up that routinely plays to 7,700 yards for the professionals. Playing here is as close as most golfers will get to a Tour experience.
The Els Club Dubai
Designed by four-time major champion Ernie Els at Dubai Sports City. Wide, generous fairways make this more approachable for mid-handicappers than Emirates or Jumeirah, while the course challenge is genuine. Excellent practice facilities and the most affordable of Dubai's top three courses. Often the best conditions in the city.
